This notice describes the site as it exists in the current local prototype. It will be reviewed and updated before the site is published, and again before analytics, forms, accounts, advertising, or email features are introduced.
Information you provide
The current site does not offer account creation, comments, newsletter signup, contact forms, or on-site checkout. It therefore does not intentionally collect names, email addresses, payment details, or form submissions.
Purchases take place on Etsy, under Etsy's own privacy terms.
Technical information
The current build does not include an analytics script or advertising tracker and does not deliberately set non-essential cookies. When the site is publicly hosted, the hosting provider may process basic request data needed to deliver and secure the site, such as IP address, requested page, browser information, and timestamps.
The public notice must name the actual host and any retention settings before launch.
Links to other services
Links to Etsy, Pinterest, or another external service take you away from Useful North. Those services may collect information under their own terms and privacy policies. Useful North does not control their data practices.
An external link is not described as private simply because it begins on this site.
Future changes
Analytics, affiliate measurement, advertising, email, or interactive tools will not be added silently. Before any such feature is enabled, this notice and the site's consent or choice controls must be updated to match the real data flow.
Privacy promises must describe current practice, not an idealized future state.
Status and review
Last reviewed August 27, 2026. This prototype is not the public launch version of the privacy notice. The launch checklist requires a final data inventory, named service providers, retention choices, and a working privacy contact.
