Fix the record, explain the change.
Errors should be corrected in proportion to their effect. A typo is different from a broken formula, an outdated rule, or a conclusion built on the wrong assumption.
What counts as a correction
A correction is needed when a published fact, calculation, instruction, source reference, disclosure, or conclusion is materially wrong or misleading. Formatting fixes and changes that do not alter meaning are routine edits.
The test is whether the error could change what a reader understands or does.
How an issue is checked
The reported passage or tool is compared with its cited source, working notes, formulas, and current authoritative information. For calculation errors, the input, formula, dependent cells, examples, and exported files are all rechecked.
A product fix is incomplete until every affected download and explanation is updated.
How changes are recorded
Material corrections should include the date, what changed, and why. If an error could cause meaningful harm or an incorrect financial result, the resource should be withdrawn until the corrected version passes review.
The correction note should be direct enough for a previous reader to understand the impact.
Current submission status
Useful North is still a local prototype and does not yet publish a public correction email or form. A working correction channel must be added and tested before public launch. Issues found during the current build are tracked through internal review and QA.
